A "dirty" KCS shop/yard |
Description: |
F3A 4051 (built 1947) and a GP9 at the KCS (old L&A) shops in Minden,La. 4051 was scrapped in 1986. Even though the shops were an EPA nightmare, I miss the old dirty well used railroad shops compared to the squeaky clean ones today. The Louisiana Southern operates these rails today. They did clean things up. The building to the left (built in 1923) is still there. |
